James Ferguson joined the firm in 1986 and became a Principal in 1996. Since day one, he has brought a passion for design and an intense work ethic which has resulted in repeat clients and referrals, as the firm has grown to design more than 10 million square feet of space in the past 30 years.

Jim’s specialty is design of research and cGMP production facilities, for biopharmaceutical and advanced technology companies. Jim is a licensed architect in California, Arizona and Colorado. A strong advocate for sustainable design, he has been recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED Accredited Professional. Jim is a member of BIOCOM and served as president of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, San Diego Chapter.
